Hey, you’ve made your way to my disclosure policy. Welcome! If you’re here because you’re curious what affiliate links are and what kind of compensation I receive from the blog, you’re in the right place.
There are various ways I make income from this blog; ads, sponsorships, affiliate links, and donations to name a few. And while the mode or name may change, a few things always remain the same there are a few things to keep in mind.
It will never cost you anything. Okay, yeah, don’t get me wrong – if you buy one of the products I talk about you will have to pay for it, but any money I make comes out of the original price – not out of your pocket. In fact, oftentimes you’ll be able to get a discount when purchasing from someone I’ve partnered with because they’ll offer a coupon!
Sometimes I get free stuff. But just because it’s free, doesn’t mean I’ll give it a good review or even mention it at all! Something I make very clear before trying out such offers. Whether you’ve heard about this before or not, receiving free products is fairly common among bloggers – and it certainly doesn’t mean I’ll promote a product. It’s just a way for me to find out about new and interesting products – and if they pass my vetting process then I’ll have exciting new stuff to share with you!
My content is mine. That’s right I said it, and not anybody else’s! That means what I’m writing is true to me. Occasionally there may be a swear word or a reference to a delicious drink on the beach…(can’t a girl dream?) – but that doesn’t mean it has anything to do with the products mentioned, just as an ad on my page has no relation to the ad next to it.
My goal is always to be 100% authentic and honest.
I didn’t make a blog to sell stuff, I made a blog so I could share my insight and experiences as I travel. My goal is always to provide helpful content and helpful resources, and never to try and push something I don’t believe in or trust myself.
If there’s still something you’re unsure of, I’m more than happy to clarify! Send me an email at any time and I’ll get back to you in a jiffy.
